Name of Activity: Goal Reflection
Unit: PSEL (Personal Social Emotional Learning)
Learner Profile: Reflective
Attitude: Integrity
At the beginning of the year, the class each made 1 goal for English that they would like to improve. My goal was: to write stories with hidden messages in them. I have not met my goal yet because my stories still do not have much messages in them. Maybe I just care too much about the story to care about the messages. But that's sort of what I want the readers to do: care about the story and not notice the messages. I want to SURPRISE THEM!! I will try to hide some small secrets in the story later on this month.
To write stories with hidden messages |
How this activity showed being Reflective was because we had to think of the things we did wrong in the past (for example: reading with no expression) and making a goal to help us (for example: To read with more expression so it feels like you are actually hearing the voices of the people in the story).
How this activity showed Integrity was because you had to be honest. You can't just say, "I'm good at everything so I don't need to write a goal!" Nobody is perfect. So you have to at least TRY to be honest with others AND yourself!
I think I could improve on being more specific on what my goal is. I also have to try harder to include secrets in the books I write. Whenever I complete this goal, I will make a new English goal! This is also a PERFECT activity because when I am older, I want to become an author! :)
I don't get what the picture mean because i cant see it.
